Ivory Coast – Water for All Project

Infrastructure Development
Financing of EUR 220 million approved by SEK/EKN for the Ministry of Finance, Ivory Coast, to provide clean drinking water to over 3 million people.
Swedish content was provided by Serneke International Group (now Scandian Project Solutions AB), with Baran Group (Israel) as the principal EPC contractor.
Impact: Sustainable access to clean water for communities across Ivory Coast.
Ghana
Sunyani Water Distribution & Dam Project
EUR 133 million financing approved by SEK/EKN for the Ghana Ministry of Finance under Phase 1 of the national water distribution network.
Partners include Serneke International Group (Scandian Project Solutions AB) and LR Group (Israel).
Impact: Expanding safe water access and improving public health infrastructure in Ghana.

Suriname

Agricultural Farm Development Project
A EUR 63 million long-term debt facility covered by EKN, supporting the Government of Suriname’s national agricultural productivity plan.
Impact: Advancing food security, rural employment, and sustainable farming practices through international collaboration.
Ghana Railway Project
Western Railway Line (Takoradi Port to Huni Valley)
A landmark EUR 500 million infrastructure project financed by SEK/EKN, connecting Takoradi Port to Huni Valley.
Swedish engineering and technology contributions were led by Serneke International Group.
Impact: Strengthening national transport infrastructure and trade logistics in West Africa.

Angola – National Solar Energy Program

EUR 530 million financing approved by SEK/EKN for the Angola Ministry of Finance to develop one of Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest solar energy projects.
Swedish participation led by Serneke International Group, ensuring a strong focus on renewable and sustainable energy.
Impact: Expanding access to clean power and reducing carbon dependency.
Guyana Project
Healthcare Infrastructure Project
EUR 150 million financing approved by SEK/EKN for the Ministry of Finance, Guyana, to build a modern hospital in New Amsterdam.
Swedish content provided by Serneke International Group, contributing to advanced healthcare access and infrastructure.
Impact: Strengthening healthcare systems and improving community well-being.
